Terms of Service
Last updated: 16 October 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using judemed.ai ("Jude", "the Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Nature of the Service — Not Medical Advice
Jude is an artificial intelligence assistant that provides information for educational and informational purposes only. Jude is not a doctor, does not provide medical diagnoses, and does not replace consultation with a qualified medical professional. Any information provided by Jude must be confirmed with a licensed physician, GP, or relevant specialist before you act on it.
3. Medical Emergencies
Jude is not designed for emergencies. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services or attend the nearest emergency department immediately.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. Children do not have accounts. With Family Mode you may keep information about your own children in your account; by adding a child you confirm that you are the child's parent or legal guardian and that you have the right to share that information with us. How we handle it is explained in the Privacy Policy.
5. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Provide accurate information, including your country, which Jude uses to apply relevant regional context.
6. Plans, Subscriptions and Payments
- Account without a plan. Chatting with Jude and creating new reports need a plan. Without one, your logs, medicines, profile and saved reports stay available to you.
- Plans. Jude offers paid plans. What each plan includes (for example Research Mode, PEMF session planning or patient management) and any monthly allowance of Jude replies is shown on the Plans & Billing page when you subscribe. A monthly reply allowance resets on the 1st of each calendar month; unused replies do not carry over.
- Prices and currency. Prices are shown before you pay: in South African rand for customers in South Africa and in US dollars elsewhere. Any taxes that apply are shown at checkout.
- Payment. Payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. By subscribing, you authorise us to charge your payment method at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
- Automatic renewal. Paid plans renew automatically every month or every year (as you chose) until you cancel. Your next renewal date is shown on the Plans & Billing page.
- Free trial. Where a plan includes a free trial, it is available once per person. A payment method is required. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your first payment is taken when it ends; if you cancel during the trial, you are not charged.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time under Plans & Billing → Manage billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; you keep your plan until then. After that your account stays open: your logs, medicines, profile and saved reports remain available, and chatting with Jude needs a plan again. Your data is kept as described in our Privacy Policy.
- Refunds. Payments are non-refundable, and we do not give refunds or credits for part of a billing period, except where the law requires it (for example the cooling-off rights of consumers under South Africa's Electronic Communications and Transactions Act) or where we charged you in error. To ask for a refund, use our contact form.
- Changing plans. You can switch plans under Manage billing. An upgrade takes effect straight away and you pay the difference for the rest of the current period; a downgrade is credited in the same way.
- Price changes. If we change the price of a plan, existing subscribers keep the price they signed up for while their subscription continues. If we ever need to change the price of an existing subscription, we will tell you by email at least 30 days before it applies, and you may cancel before then.
- Plan availability. We may stop offering a plan to new customers. If you are subscribed to it, you keep it until you cancel or switch.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, our payment provider will try again and we may ask you to update your card. If payment cannot be collected, your paid plan ends and your account continues on the free plan.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse the Service, attempt to disrupt it, use it for unlawful purposes, or rely on it as a substitute for professional medical care.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, branding, and software associated with the Service are owned by judemed.ai or its licensors and are protected by applicable law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, judemed.ai is not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
11. Contact
Questions about these Terms can be submitted through our contact form.
